Worst Class I've Taken at UNO
Nickel's class is pretty bad. Most of the time, he tells you the same stories over and over again or just fills up class time stories. These stories may sound like stuff that he teaches in the class, so it is hard to differentiate class material from his story time.

He spends all together too much time talking about the concept (or rather telling useless stories) and then when he does explain how to do problems, you get a brief overview of something he made up in his head that is generally nothing like the problems in the book. However, the homework is still pretty easy if you just look at how the book does problems.

The labs are pretty easy, except for that Tray sometimes fails to do them like the lab book does. Thus, some tests will not be completed and the results obtained in the lab book will be unattainable. The student grader grades these however, so labs are an easy 100.

The tests are where Nickel fails completely. He has a tendency to ignore student input, so if you get something wrong on your test he most likely will not give you points back. If he does, he won't give you all of them back even if you prove you are right. His test also focus on minute details for the true and false. Even though the test is open book, the concept in one question could be answered from one sentence in the chapter. I would recommend reading the book throughly before tests (or even class).

My last comment is that I am a straight A student, but I got a B. This is because I did so poorly on all of his tests because they are worded badly, come from one sentence of the book, etc. The key to his tests I think is to think how he was thinking when he wrote the problems. Then perhaps I would have done better.
