Easy to Get Good Grade, Teacher Doesn't Teach
Brenneman never taught the material. I self-taught myself by a book I got from the library and talking to people. The book that we bought didn't explain things very well for self-teaching.

The labs were the best part of this class. They were interesting and I learned the most out on the field.

The grading of homework and the final project is fairly easy because Brenneman just grades to make sure you do it, not that its right.

The tests, however, can do you in because you have to make sure that you conform to what he said, not what is right. Take the tests and answer them as you think Brenneman would. Also, he might conveniently disappear when you want to argue points back on the test, but he curves sometimes, so don't worry about it too much.

Not too bad
This class will be an experience. You'll use old equipment, get out in the field and have some fun. Brenneman knows what he's talking about. He knows a lot. He does ramble sometimes and you figure he might foreget some stuff, but he definitely know this class.

I took the class in the summer, so he blitzed through the topics. Sometimes we didn't have class and got behind, but we learned most of the info.

You have no choice in who to take it with (though I recommend the summer if you have that ability). As far as how to pass the class. Do all the lab work. He picks it up twice during the year so make sure you're ready. As far as homework assignments. He never really picked ours up, but I'd start off doing them just to make sure. They are good practice too. Test was kinda difficult, but he scored nicely. I had a good experience with this class and really liked Brenneman.
