you HAVE to go!
She does random in-class assignments and they are worth a HUGE chunk of your grade! They are each worth 30 points, so if you happen to miss a class you're kind of screwed. The class covers a lot of anatomical terms and the tests are kind of confusing. She covers information fast and sometimes it's hard to keep up. You also have to do a 2 hour job shadow of a SLP and write up a paper on it. I definately wouldn't recommend taking this class unless it is required.

She is always willing to help and is really flexible, if you miss an
in-class assignment you can still make it up. She is funny, but
when it comes to time to learn, PAY ATTENTION!! If you listen and
come to class it's easy. All the in class assignments are right from
her power points. If you need the class, she's good! and she doesn't
put up with whiny students or students who like to challenge the proffessor

Interesting
I took this class as an elective and i ended up enjoying it very much. Dietz knows what she is talking about. She can come off rude, but don't take it that way, but if she is rude to you its because you were not giving her the respect she wants. But putting that aside, The tests were multiple choice and pretty simple. There was 5-6 inclass assignments that were simple. She would put some questions on the bored and you would spend all of class looking up answers and then she would go over them to make sure you had the right answer. These were VERY useful for the tests. There was a Job Shadow project and you had to follow a speech language pathologist. she said you had to do it for 2 hours but 45 min. is good enought. It was a simple project, so nothing to freak out about. All in all, Dietz was interesting and she knows what she is talking about. We watched alot of youtube videos to help us relate it to what we were learning. very helpful!
