Biology I

Description

General principles of biology including cell structure and function, photosynthesis, respiration, genetics, molecular genetics, and the biodiversity of organisms. Biodiversity covers prokaryotes, fungi, protists and plants, with emphasis on the functioning of seed palnts. Intended as the first course for Biology majors. Must enroll in one lab section. Usually offered Fall, Spring and Summer. Prereq: High school biology and chemistry.
