A class focused on Eastern Asia, it discusses the political structures and theoretical frameworks for each party. Goes over the basic parties: realism, liberalism, constructivism, neorealism, neoliberalism, etc.
Also goes over some of the lesser known theories: feminism, structuralism, post-conolialism, etc.
From there, you apply the different theories to the different readings, as well as the different governments. Extensive reading, an average of 40-50 pages a class. Conversation on these reading is vital, so attendance is highly advised.
