OurUNO has been a fun side project to distract me from classes over the last few years. However, I will be graduating this summer as well as getting married. Dealing with all that entails (getting a real job, possibly moving, etc.) I do not know how much I will be able to devote to OurUNO. I will certainly become less connected with the school over time, so my ability to make the site dynamic and flexible with changes on campus will greatly decrease.

I do know that I don't want this site to die. I've been working on a brand new engine for the site which will allow wiki style edits, as well as a whole hierarchy of users, with moderators and the like. What I would love is to create a small group of people who will handle moderation and other updates. I think it would be great to have a committee or student group that comes from a diverse set of majors to handle all the problems of the site.

I will continue to host the site for as long as people contribute to it. I will also continue to fix problems with the software, and write improvements as time allows. I just want to put this thing into the hands of the students as much as possible, so that the actual users can decide where it is going.

If anyone is at all interested in joining a committee, being a moderator or organizing any facet of this site, please contact me.

Today I've added in some functionality for book sales and exchange. Jump over to the "Books" tab to post your books or browse through listings.

The functionality is minimal, but it's a start. Hopefully with time it will get more integrated and add features.
